It was SO GOOD to reconnect today! This is a recipe I don’t mess with, so I haven’t tried butter. But I will not be offended in the least if you do! Please let me know how it goes. I don’t use shortening very much at all, but this recipe is exactly why I always have some on hand.

Great to see you and T today! I am jonesing for some good cookies, but I don’t keep shortening in the house. Is that a “secret” ingredient? Or can I substitute butter? Let me know if I need to add Crisco to my shopping list. Hmmm…I wonder if I can find a coupon??

K, so the little exchange between mom and daughter just choked me up a little. And I know you think I’m kidding cause well, I’m who I am… but I’m not. Cookies look delish. I’ve always wondered if shortening were better than butter in a cookie recipe. Pics are terrific and so are you!
